Flylords Magazine has posted its latest ranking of the top 10 US cities for urban fishing.
Seattle, and the surrounding area where most of the fishing takes place, was recognized as the top urban location for fly fishing.
The area has a network of rivers and streams flowing into Puget Sound; our cold water fisheries include coho, pink, and chum salmon – depending on the time of the year, as well as year-round fishing for searun cutthroat.
In addition, there are a large number of lakes and ponds, offering opportunities for trout in colder waters, and bass and panfish in warmer waters.
For those without boats or kayaks, there are miles of beaches for Puget Sound fishing; and shoreside access for many of the lakes and ponds.
